The Senior Policy Council and President have recently approved the following policy revisions:

Immunization and Health Screening Policy (Revised): Formerly titled “Immunization Requirement” this policy underwent substantive revisions to align with the University’s Policy Template. Updates include the addition of Purpose, Policy, and Enforcement statements. The policy now provides clearer guidance on documentation requirements for immunizations, health screenings, and exemptions.

Opening a Merchant Account for Credit Card Acceptance (Revised): This policy was updated as part of a scheduled review and it now explicitly requires approval from both the Controller and the Office of the Bursar before establishing new merchant accounts. Editorial updates were also made to the Applies To, Procedures, and References sections.

Non-Discrimination Policy Statements for Publications (Revised): This policy was updated as part of a scheduled review and is regulation-based, which informs the substantive language. Revisions include updating office names, links, and minor (non-substantive) wording.

Returned Check Policy (Revised): This policy was updated as part of a scheduled review. A definition for “check” was added, and the Policy Statement was expanded to incorporate language previously included in the Enforcement section regarding returned check fees and the authority of departments, or the Office of the Bursar, to refuse check payments from payors with a history of returned checks.
